We reprint the text here — and also add a postscript on Perle’s abrupt resignation from the Defense Policy Board, and his simultaneous threat to sue anyone and everyone who so much as looks at him the wrong way.

In the postscript, there’s also comic relief from Jack Shafer’s ‘Richard Perle Libel Watch Week 50′, a little column which has mocked El Bloviate on a weekly basis since Perle’s initial threat to sue Seymour Hersh for libel last year.
