Tim R,
Your tirades against Muslim are tiresome because they are full of hyperbole and show ignorance if not outright racial hysteria. Some examples: marriage laws - you state that in Afghanistan, a man may marry a 9 year old girl; maybe so, but I do know that the laws of our state of Georgia place no lower limit on the age of the would-be bride as long as she is certified to be pregnant - supposedly a Georgia man could marry a 6 year old girl, provided he could get her pregnant first. You say that in Muslim countries, non-Muslim individuals have no rights - have you ever been in a Muslim country? I have been in Bahrain and Turkey and have been treated like anyone else. I understand that there is a sizable Jewish colony in Iran which refuses to move to Israel even after being bribed. You state that Muslims treat their women like "dogs". How do you come by that assertion? It would be nice if you stuck to making assertions that you at least have seen for yourself. Otherwise, you are just another echo chamber for racist propaganda.

Sorry, I don't know which part of the Middle East you went to, Tim, but I have had a totally different experience.
I have lived in Oman and I have met people who went to Iran, Iraq and Libya. They talk and I have experienced the marvellous hospitality of the Arabs. This is especially so in the rural areas. Urban Arabs have developed superior attitudes towards my countrymen as Indians work at menial jobs for low salaries (by their standards). This is particularly so in countries which are run by despots with connections to America - e.g. Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Even then, I have not experienced any thing more than a glum look.
Many people describe your country as one that has no culture.Perhaps they are right. It has only existed for a little more than 400 years. Remember these Arab nations have developed their culture and civilization over many thousands of years.
Regarding the Koran: Again,I do not know which transalation ofthe Koran you read. The statements the Koran makes are similar to the ones in the Old Testament.YHWH ordered the Jews to kill the Hittites (and various others)and smash their idols. The Koran does not even demand anything like that. If you examine the context in which it was written, you will see that most of the action is against the idolators. The Jews and Christians are exempt. The idolators were from the Arab tribes and not others. The Prophet did not even know of America!
Of course, nowadays angry Muslims will quote the Koran to support their actions. So do the Jews who talk of Judea and Samaria in order to take over Arab lands and so do Evangelical Christians when they talk of the "Rapture" which will come about when the political State of Israel is set up.More Arabs have died at Jewish hands than Jews from Arab suicide attacks.
In a previous letter you said that moderate Muslims should exert their influence on the extremists. That is as silly as suggesting that Rome and the Catholics of America should have exerted their influence on the Catholic Extremists of Northern Ireland.
I think you should realise: A) America is not in this war game for the sake of democracy but for oil. B) Americans and Israelis have killed more people than all the Osam abin Laden's and suicide bombers put together.C) the quicker America realises this the better it is for the World.
So don't point fingers at Islam. As the founder of Christianity said (in language more appropriate for His time) "Take the fucking skateboard out of your eye before you attempt to tease out a bloody splinter from another motherfucker's eye".

to Tim again.
I have said this before and I will say it again and I hope you will read it and reflect on it this time.
There are millions of Muslims living all over the world, including my country India, and they live in harmony with their neighbours. Muslim Extremism, like Catholic extremism in Northern Ireland before it, is a recent phenomenon. It is the result of injustices perpetrated on them. Wouldn't you feel that way if some group walked into your house and occupied it at the point of the gun and had the local bully to protect them from eviction? Islam cannot be blamed for the anger that the unjust actions that your country and so called civilised Christian Europe did to the world by their Imperial actions.
Osma bin Laden did not attack America because he hated American freedoms but because America was using its proximity to the corrupt House of Said to loot the money made from Arab oil. He wanted the Americans to get out of Saudi Arabia which he said were sacred lands. Please get a copy of his first speeches and warnings and read them.
If America seriously was interested in Democracy they should start sanctions aginst the House of Said in Arabia.
Stop the war in Iraq, get out of the Arabian peninsula and the MiddleEast and help turn the State of Israel from being a theocratic state to becoming a secular state where all those refugees will be allowed to return to their original homes and Muslim violence will stop.

the really sick twisted part is that david horowitz IS a radical communist. he , today, needs coservative goyim votes, bvoters so he doesnt play it up, but this scum is straight out f soviet dogma 101.
this weekend on meet the press they showed a picture f horowitz standing in front of a giant carl marx statue giving a salute. if you go from arch oligarch-soviet communism
to claiming conservative bonifides, in the span of only a few decades, you are either a deceptive phony who is concealing your real agenda from the dupes you need to manipulate or you are simply taking all you love from communism and repackaging it as (neo)conservatism for the really stpid

There is no war on terrorism, it was abandoned long before we started to hear Saddam instead of Osama.
This is the PNAC agenda being put in action.

Now you're being more ridiculous than usual. You haven't been to the middle east (except unless your mummy took you to the whitey colony in Palestine). You've certainly never been to a muslim country.

Novista, first thank you for the insults. I love getting insulted on this blog, it shows that at the very least I'm getting some people to think. Anyway, to your point:

Yes, I have read the Quran. And some of the things in there are most sublime and beautiful. But many other things are evil, hateful, racist, sexist and extemly violent. Overall, the violent stuff seems to outweigh the good. Judaism and Christianity do not tell followers to go out and kill "infidels." Your religion does. See Quran Suhra 8:12 and 47:4 among others.

Yes,I lived in the middle east. And I had rocks thrown at me for daring to walk in a Muslim area. Even though I was bothering no one. I heard bottles break behind me. I was actually scared for my safety. Is that how your religion treats strangers who are minding there own business, not bothering anyone.

CM sarcastically wrote: "If a Muslim kills a civilian its terrorism. If an American bomb or bullet kills a civilian its collateral damage."

Well, this might surprise you but I am against targeting civilians in ALL situations. If America intentionally bombs civilians, yes you can rightfully call that terrorism! And yes, we've done that in the past and yes there is no excuse for it. Its morally wrong. But there is a difference today. Muslim radicals kill and bomb civilians willfully, purposefully. And they do so to spread there religious insanity. They have made an art form out of it. They think it is a good deed to kill "infidels."

If America bombs a terrorist target and civilians are
accidently killed, that is a terrible and horrible tragedy but it is not the same. Any first year law student knows there is a difference between intentional murder and an accidental killing. Of course, we should do everything in our power to minimize civilian deaths but to say an accidental death at the hands of an American bomb is the same as intentional killing by Muslim radicals is an erroneous comparison. Also, we have a moral right to defend ourselves against Islamo-Fascist aggression. They are the ones trying to spread their evil religion by the sword. They are the ones who need to put a stop to it. A nation has a right to defend itself.
