Because the Kuwaitis were illegally slant-drilling into Iraqi oil fields and because Saddam needed more oil TO SELL after his war with Iran ( which the neo-con-men are urging the president to do now )..Not because he wanted to hoard the oil...But all we needed was a corny Lee Greenwood song in the background and a desire to flex our muscles after Nam...
