Incredible, the last 17 yrs of warfare with this country was unnecessary: Saddam ( a U.S. ally ) took back Kuwait ( which was once governed out of Basra until broken off by the Brits about 100 yrs ago ) after we gave him the green light ( see Saddam's meeting with U.S. Ambassador April Glasbie )..Why? Because the Kuwaitis were illegally slant-drilling into Iraqi oil fields and because Saddam needed more oil TO SELL after his war with Iran ( which the neo-con-men are urging the president to do now )..Not because he wanted to hoard the oil...But all we needed was a corny Lee Greenwood song in the background and a desire to flex our muscles after Nam...

The destruction of the non-homogenous, large arab states has ALWAYS been a Zionist goal.." We don't do nation-building " is a phrase any decent paleo-con can agree with..Well, not to worry, because nation destruction was always the goal of most of the neo-cons in regards to Iraq...Never before in history has a smaller client state so effectively influenced the foreign policy of it's benefactor..
