Yes, petey, in North or Central Jersey, say Sayreville or South River, it'd be more like "whatsamatta wichyizz?". Always impressive, of course, designed specifically for audiences of more than one person and frequently including gestures of the hand, a grimace or both.

here in new yawk, it's 'youse'. 'yizz' is non-standard (viz., jersey) dialect.

Linus Pauling was right about vitamin C, you know. And forget about "dying prematurely." You're not supposed to leave us in the lurch, ever.

Three to five grams (that's right--grams) a day, most cheaply done by taking the C as powder. Bitter stuff, so take it with copious cold water.

Justin,

I want to send money to anti-war.com, but I don't have a creditcard. Is there a posibility for an IBAN account donation, in the case you live in Europe.

Btw, get well soon! We need your insights -- badly. I discovered antiwar.com only a half year ago, but I've been it reading it daily since.

Try taking a vacation. It's ironically very productive; you come back with new ideas.

Justin, I don't mean to sound didactic, but have you given up your smoking habit yet? If not, could you, please, for your readers? I for one would hate to see you die prematurely- your thrice weekly column provides half my life's entertainment (the other half, of course, coming from the actions of people in my vicinity).

Justin, why is it that you don't allow yourself any vacation? You are human, you need one from time to time. Is a bronchitis not a flashing red light? Please don't exploit your body for higher purposes, however justified - it is not wise.

Rex, thanks for your comments. I know there are a lot of people in the same situation, as I believe I said in a recent column, and that's whyh it's taking longer to reach our goal. It used to take just a week: now it takes two. It's the Iraq recession -- soon, I fear, to turn into a depression.
