The only reason they buy F15s is because like an indulgent old relative, they feel obligated to buy SOMETHING from the US in exchange for all the oil that they sell for dollars. And military arms are about all we have to sell the world except for wheat and porn. And we are safe in assuming that we can sell them F15s without them ever using them. Hell, we could probably sell them nukes without Israel breaking a sweat. Anyway, the IDF has thousands of jet aircraft, the Saudi Air Force is probably in the hundreds of aircraft. And I would bet that maintence of the Saudi AF is in American contractor hands, which could shut the whole shebang down overnight.
