Now doesn't that tell you everything. Time to start encrypting all your crap. Be careful though... the federal stooges will likely be morphed into a pack of rabid howler monkeys.

I just thought about something. Why not get one of those artistic types to put on some sort of "live theater" where they get a group of naked "passenger/citizens" to pass through the check points. Clearly we're being brought to the point where we have nothing left to hide so why not go all the way. Unless, of course, the tickets themselves are seen as threatening.

Travelers' Laptops May Be Detained At Border
No Suspicion Required Under DHS Policies

"Federal agents may take a traveler's laptop or other electronic device to an off-site location for an unspecified period of time without any suspicion of wrongdoing, as part of border search policies the Department of Homeland Security recently disclosed.

Also, officials may share copies of the laptop's contents with other agencies and private entities for language translation, data decryption or other reasons, according to the policies, dated July 16 and issued by two DHS agencies, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement."

China's All-Seeing Eye
With the help of U.S. defense contractors, China is building the prototype for a high-tech police state. It is ready for export.

True, true, but don't forget that we, the United States of America, are locked in deadly combat with several hundred rifle-toting goatherders 10,000 miles away. With a threat of that magnitude, we cannot do other than crush domestic liberty, smother the Constitution and the treasonous freaks who keep bringing it up, and wet our pants at any mention of Al-Qaida.

On the other hand, the Chinese are just a bunch of power-hungry tyrants bent on stomping out any spark of liberty they can find. See? Same actions on both sides, but one is fully justified and the other not.
