Antiwar Publisher To Be Charged for Politically Incorrect Speech
February 3, 2003

Taki Theodoracopoulos, the wealthy patron of The American Conservative, a leading voice of the antiwar Right and a columnist for the Spectator, is being investigated by Scotland Yard over an article he wrote, "Thoughts on Thuggery." His column, which may be a violation of the Orwellian "Public Order Act," was cited in a complaint by Britain’s Diversity Police, which has been tracking down people supposedly guilty of any number of politically incorrect acts: "homophobic" remarks, "racist" sentiments supposedly expressed in a pro-hunting speech, and other examples of "hate speech."

The Independent carried this, rather anti-Taki story.
