Clinton to the rescue!!!

A draft-dodging president is the last person you would expect to run into the heat of battle to save Israel – especially one who normally only runs to McDonald's. Justin Raimondo wonders where such an obsession comes from and where it leads. Perhaps Israel has a higher proportion of interns that need the former president's protection....

Causing disablement, but not death

With a not-so-wonderful reputation of being an evil imperial power to all hemispheres of the world, Britain should pay heed to Phillip Knightley's history lesson:

Churchill, then Secretary of State for Air and War, suggested that the RAF should take on the job of subduing Iraq: "It would ... entail the provision of some kind of asphyxiating bombs calculated to cause disablement of some kind but not death..."

Hey, I thought "asphyxiating bombs" were also "weapons of mass destruction." Hey Mr. President, add another spoke to the "axis": the UK.

Moral politicians....nah!

As of late, I doubt the words "just" and "war" have been heard together in the halls of Congress. And for good reason, writes Richard Harries: the impending war in Iraq will lack all characteristics of such a thing. Don't forget, morals might get in the way of a "regime change" just as Constitutions might get in the way of an Ashcroft.

Populating Jewish settlements in four easy steps

Here is the recipe:

1. Find a remote third world nation, preferably one that exhibits food shortages and low education levels.
2. Gather natives and teach them Judaism (if necessary in their native language, if not possible hand signals will suffice).
3. After step 2 is successful, show pictures of warm mobile homes and baskets of food.

4. Offer the above to new converts and once they accept, move them to illegal (sic) settlement in the West Bank.

Wow, the press is slooooow

Did I miss something? I thought that this problem was solved a while ago.... oh yeah, it was.

Lock and load

Stratfor reports that the US is preparing for war:

...a subtle increase in the mobilization of Army combat troops is underway.

Now where's that draft card and my lighter....?
