Reply to Justin Raimondo on Yugo Elections

I am truly surprised by recent Mr. Justin Raimondo’s article entitled "The Gloria La Riva Syndrome: In Answer to Jared Israel."

My name is Petar Makara. I was born in Yugoslavia some 48 years ago. I have spent the first 32 years of my life (a third of a century) in Yugoslavia. I know the people and country well. I am one of the most active Serbs in diaspora but also I am well connected to many active individuals in the home country. I have traveled there frequently. For example, I was there two months ago. I have met Mr. Kostunica, for the first time in April 1994. Here, in the United States, with a couple of Serbian intellectuals I have a co-founded the first Serbian web pages: http://www.srpska-mreza.com/

The section gives thorough introduction to the history of ex-Yugoslavia, but, also, many pages in the section present number of different analysis of the current events. Check it out.

Our web site is one of the most popular among the Serbian people. It is well read by many friends of the Serbs as well as the enemies. We have up to 22Gb transfer of data per month. The pages were mentioned even by the enemy (by CNN, BBC). I was interviewed by BBC for Radio Free Europe.

I had high regard to AntiWar.com. I have posted links to your web site throughout my pages. Most prominently on the page http://www.srpska-mreza.com/library/facts/NATO-attack.html where I give analysis of illegal NATO attack on my country. (Please, check "Voices of Reason" link on that page).

I find Mr. Israel’s recent text on how US government finances opposition in Yugoslavia quite useful. I completely agree with Mr. Israel on this subject. He presents facts that are result of careful research. These facts are of extreme importance in helping the peoples of Yugoslavia decide their future in oncoming, crucial elections. Mr. Israel was careful not to tell the people for whom to vote. The Serbian people, having all the facts present would be smart enough to decide. The 40 point plan, signed by Mr. Kostunica, and revealed by Mr. Israel is a great surprise and thorough disappointment to those of us who till recently had high hopes in Mr. Kostunica. I am on the record in the Serbian community as someone who, for nine years now, was criticizing Mr. Milosevic for giving away, too easily, different parts of ancestral Serbian lands. Only recently, it seems, he have found a backbone and have put maximum resistance to the invading foreign intruder.

With Mr. Kostunica, all his previous texts that I praised so much through the years turned to empty words only. Now that we learned about 40 points plan, he have signed, his patriotism seem an empty posture. The plan spells open and immediate military and financial capitulation of Yugoslavia to the New World Order conquest. After fighting so bravely for so many years the Serbian people should NOT be tricked by CIA and surrender their sovereignty.

This is NOT a fight for a person – Milosevic or Kostunica. The name does NOT matter. NATO did not bomb Mr. Milosevic. They bombed my family. They bombed peoples of Yugoslavia into submission, into servitude to the New Order ("Die Neue Ordnung" in the original).

And while the Serbian people are fighting for their own bare, biological survival we are all aware of the fact that this is a gigantic battle that we wage trying to save the whole of Mankind out of the jaws of NWO manipulators. We did not ask for such a role, but now that we got it we are trying to carry our part of the weight. We try to attract people (common people!) from almost entire political spectrum in the West. It is because no matter whether you consider yourself to be part of the left or right – most likely you are under the foot of NWO Nazis who think of ALL of us as their subjects, or worse – as ANTS they can crush at their will. We have to keep that higher goal always in mind and do NOT let the enemy use their two millennia old formulae "Divide and Rule" on us.

I find Mr. Raimondo’s article exactly divisive that way. It is partisan. It puts his narrow political agenda before the destiny of the Serbs and us all. More, I am surprised that Raimondo – whose many articles I liked and forwarded on to many e-mail lists I am member of – have sunk to an open, personal attack on Mr. Israel – for his daring to present the facts.
