23:41 BELGRADE, Saturday – The Serbian police are likely to now deploy anti-terrorist methods in arresting Slobodan Milosevic, a former state security senior official has declared. Bozidar Spasic told SRNA that the field is now clear for special units to enter the Milosevic compound by helicopter. He added that the exact timing of the operation will be up to Serbian prime minister Zoran Djindjic. Police expert Marko Nicovic said that any such action would be taken tonight or tomorrow. He added it would have to be conducted with extreme professionalism, unlike the earlier attempt. “The interior ministry did not go about this in the best way,” he said, citing the arrival of jeeps at the Palace of Justice as “attempts to pull the wool over the eyes of the public both here and abroad.” “They made an unnecessary drama out of the whole thing, and this has turned against them now,” he said. “People have gathered in Dedinje, and they range from supporters, to drunkards, to psycopaths, to people who just want to cause trouble.”
