Iraq Disclaims Responsibility for Shooting Incident In Kuwait

Iraqi News Agency (INA) political editor has confirmed that the shooting of two Kuwaiti policemen early on September 17, 1999 happened inside Kuwaiti territory and that Iraq has nothing to do with it.

The editor said in a comment on Saturday that the matter did not concern the Iraqi side and that the Iraqi authorities were ready for cooperation with the United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observer Mission (UNIKOM) to find out the circumstances of the incident.
