  1. Its called ‘plausible deniability’ and the Israelis were already covering their backsides in the run-up the invasion of Iraq. Once the decision to invade Iraq was made, sectors of the Israeli power structure began to ‘distance’ themselves. Of course they pushed for the invasion and succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. The only hang-up was their deepseated racism blinded them to the possibility of Iraqi Arabs sustaining a brutal resistance.

Yes, it is just like Viet Nam. Who could imagine the Vietnamese sustaining decades of resistance and winning?

  2. Israel is the real threat to world peace and stability. It is a well known fact that Israel has weapons of mass destruction. Thanks to our hard earned American tax dollars, and has shown time and time again a willingness to use them against her neighbors.Iran may acquire nuclear weapons in the.future.But Israel as everyone knows has had them for many years. If a nation must be bombed.Let it be the little terrorist state of Israel.

  3. Randy Hosman is exactly right. Don’t let those bastards get away with “distancing” from Iraq. The Iraq fiasco has AIPAC written all over it, just like Iran does. When are these blood thirsty bastards going to be hauled out into the light of day and exposed as the blood-thirsty, war-mongering pukes they are?

  4. I couldn’t say it any better than the two preceding writers. We must get rid of AIPAC. It’s a fifth column inside our country , pimping for Israel. But so are Bush, Cheney and nearly every member of Congress. Also the major media and the religious right. It’s time to take arms against a sea of traitors and by opposing, end them…to paraphrase Shakespeare. Time for another million man march on Washington. I’m ready, let’s go!

  5. The EFP-Iran propaganda seems to be running out of steam. You better believe that over the next two weeks there will be new stories floated. One that I wonder about is the recent report that key evidence linking the Lockerbie bombing to Libya may have been manipulated. This is a believable story that the Libyans were framed, but why is this story coming to light now? What use may it serve? Former CIA candestine officer Robert Baer is not among the neo-con crazies. He has always maintained that the CIA had evidence that the Libyans were framed and that the Iranians arranged the Pan Am bombing in revenge for the USS Vincennes’ downing of an Iran Air flight that killed 290. The lie that Libyans were responsible for the bombing was useful years ago, but isn’t as useful today for neo-cons (moto: “we make our own reality”).

    1. The frame up of Libya is very important because coupled with the La Belle Disco bombing in Berlin it gave confidence to Israel and its legion of neoconservatives to use the same techniques in organizing other frame ups.

There dosen’t seem to be much interest by writers in the La Belle chapter yet there exists explosive relevations on how Israel operates.

My wish is that someone like Seymour Hersch gets hold of the story and shows how the German prosecuters went out of their way to legitimize Ronald Reagans bombing of Libya. Incidentally its the same prosecuter who was pushed into trying to pin Rafiq Hariri’s murder onto the Syrians.

  6. Indeed, AIPAC is not only the enemies of the freedom of their Arabic or Persion country neighbors, but of the American people. All American citizens who hold powerful/influential positions in the media or in government should be asked to publicly acknowledge, at the very least, whether they hold dual citizenships. If I have the bad luck of seeing Saturday Night Live portray Dennis Kucinich in such a unflattering manner again, I am going to throw up.
