    My name is Thomas Devine and I am a Vietnam Vet. I was involved in the battle to reopen Khay Shon or Lamson 719. My cav unit E troop 1st cav 23 inf. Div pushed down hwy. 9 and across the border with Laos. we then returned back to the border to secure the bridge.
    When they started making their push into Laos. An American reporter stopped to interview us and we became good friends. He gave me his watch to hang onto until he returned. He lost his life in Laos. I still have that watch till this day. It is a Citizens. I think it belongs to one of your friends. I remember you talking about it on Vietnam HD.

  7. Thank you to a real American Patriot. You were as much a soldier as we were, and you showed your love for this country and those of is who served it. I was visited by General Hal Moore on ward C-17 a Viet Nam returnee ward at Ft Ord, CA another man who loved his soldiers. May God Bless you in your retirement and give you time to do the things you want to do.

  17. To me the true question is could war with Japan have been avoided in the first place. The answer is absolutely yes. With a different foreign policy, no American imperialism in the Phillippines, no ethnic and big money based "China lobby" and if FDR hadn't had a personal phobia towards Japan war could very easily have been prevented.
