      1. If JFK had lived, it is very unlikely the Vietnam War would have proceeded as it did under LBJ.

    1. Listen to his full speech of June 10, 1963 — which was 8 months after the Cuban missile crisis. It is wrong to say that JFK wanted war or almost started a war with the USSR. He kept the Pentagon hawks from starting a war that they wanted.
