On his blog today, he cited a news source in Arabic, which I can&#8217;t read, but <a href=\"http:\/\/angryarab.blogspot.com\/2011\/11\/al-qaidah-is-grateful-to-nato.html\">he summarizes it for us<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This is not in the US media but is all over Arab media. \u00a0The leader of Al-Qa`idah in the Maghrib admits that his group benefited from the turmoil in Libya and that they obtained weapons from Libya. \u00a0&#8220;It is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/alquds.co.uk\/index.asp?fname=today%5C10z499.htm&amp;arc=data%5C2011%5C11%5C11-10%5C10z499.htm\" target=\"_blank\">natural<\/a>&#8220;, he told a Mauritanian media outlet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This adds some direct context to why we saw the <a href=\"http:\/\/news.antiwar.com\/2011\/10\/31\/experts-revenge-killings-imperil-libyas-relative-calm\/\">al Qaeda flag flying over the center of Benghazi<\/a>, the de facto capital of the NTC.
