{"id":1343,"date":"2004-10-06T22:51:28","date_gmt":"2004-10-07T05:51:28","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2004-10-06T22:51:28","modified_gmt":"2004-10-07T05:51:28","slug":"cheneys-double-oops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2004\/10\/06\/cheneys-double-oops\/","title":{"rendered":"Cheney&#8217;s Double-OOPS!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In his defense of Edwards&#8217; attack on the Halliburton issue in last night&#8217;s debate, <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/wire\/SciTech\/reuters20041006_348.html\">Vice President Cheney mentioned a Website that had defended him against an accusation over his former employer.<\/a>  However, he mistakenly said <a href=\"http:\/\/www.factcheck.com\">FactCheck.com<\/a>, a private advertising company, instead of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.factcheck.org\">FactCheck.org<\/a>, which is run by the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>Overwhelmed with the traffic and apparently not very pro-Bush, the owners of FactCheck.com forwarded their domain over to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.georgesoros.com\">George Soros&#8217; Website<\/a>, which is titled: Why We Must Not Re-Elect President Bush.<\/p>\n<p>Even worse for Bush-Cheney, if someone figures out where the Vice President intended to send them and goes to the Annenberg Center Website, they will find a new report: a detailed critique of the Vice Presidential debate focusing on the many inaccuracies of the Veep.
