But it would be a mistake to attribute this kind of thinking to Bushites only. It is ingrained in all imperialists.<br \/>\nEarlier this year, mentor to the previous crop of &#8220;liberal&#8221; Imperialists and ICG founder Morton <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/comments.php?id=P1148_0_1_0_C\">Abramowitz<\/a> made an exasperated comment to a Serbian interviewer:<br \/>\n<i>\u201cMy answer is that there is no entirely rational answer\u2026 you seek perfect reasoning, which does not correspond to reality on the ground.\u201d<\/i><br \/>\nIn other words, don&#8217;t bother with logic; there isn&#8217;t any.<br \/>\nAbramowitz&#8217;s acolytes (the Holbrookes and Albrights of this world) at least used the language of principles and values to sell their interventions to the world, even as they follow the same philosophy as the Bushites: power over reality.<br \/>\nAnd therein&#8217;s the clue: the Empire is Nietzschean. Its world is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.balkanalysis.com\/modules.php?name=News&#038;file=article&#038;sid=446\">devoid of reason, reality or principles,<\/a> and contains only power and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicappeal.org\/library\/nietzsche\/Nietzsche_the_will_to_power\/\">Will to Power<\/a>. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Many Imperial troops certainly see things this way:<br \/>\n<i>On a fast patrol through Pristina, Pte. McWilliams of the Gloucester Regiment expressed his personal opinion on the March 17 crisis. \u201cI don\u2019t know why the Serbs don\u2019t get the message. They are not wanted here, so they should go back to their own country,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nWhen it was explained to him that Kosovo still officially remains an autonomous province of Serbia, the young British soldier replied: \u201cYou can\u2019t claim what you can\u2019t defend.\u201d <\/i><br \/>\n(Scott Taylor, April 2004; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/comments.php?id=P788_0_1_0_C\">see here<\/a>)<br \/>\nBoth Bushites and Clintonites lied as they murdered their way across the globe: Iraqi nukes were no less phantom that the &#8220;genocide&#8221; in Kosovo. But enough of the truth is out there by now.
