The targets have included\u00a0<strong>the building of the Council of Ministers<\/strong>\u00a0in the west of the City, which was completely destroyed and a number of nearby\u00a0<strong>houses<\/strong>\u00a0damaged;\u00a0<strong>the building of the police command<\/strong>\u00a0in the center of the City, which was completely destroyed and a number of\u00a0<strong>nearby houses<\/strong>damaged; the building of the Civil Department of the Ministry of Interior in the south of the City, which was attacked for the second time, causing damage to\u00a0<strong>al-Quds Hospital<\/strong>\u00a0and a number of\u00a0<strong>public and UNRWA school<\/strong>; and\u00a0<strong>Palestine Stadium<\/strong>\u00a0in al-Remal neighborhood in the center of the City, which was extensively damaged.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Also, this video of the al-Zaytoun quarter, a\u00a0residential area in Gaza, being bombed by what is reportedly &#8220;a bomb or missile dropped by a US-supplied Israeli F-16 jet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HUJfxTZaDWo\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The <em>New York Times<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/11\/18\/world\/middleeast\/israel-gaza-conflict.html?hp&amp;_r=1&amp;\">reports<\/a> that &#8220;Israel\u00a0broadened its assault on the\u00a0Gaza Strip\u00a0on Saturday from mostly military targets to centers of government infrastructure.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The purpose behind this is clear: as\u00a0Interior Minister Eli Yishai\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.haaretz.com\/news\/diplomacy-defense\/live-blog-idf-prepares-for-ground-invasion-as-gaza-offensive-enters-fourth-day-1.478505\">said<\/a>, &#8220;The goal of the operation is to send Gaza back to the Middle Ages.
