NTN had previously been given the go-ahead by two government agencies. The station is owned in part by Eduard Prutnik, a former advisor to Viktor Yanukovych &#8212; Yushchenko&#8217;s opponent during the 2004 Ukrainian presidential election. <\/p>\n<p>Demonstrating the ridiculously easy time Yushchenko has in the &#8220;mainstream&#8221; media, exhibit &#8220;A&#8221; is a <i>San Francisco Chronicle<\/i> story about these shenanigans, with the Orwellian headline: &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/article.cgi?f=\/n\/a\/2005\/04\/15\/international\/i030932D95.DTL\">Yushchenko Vows to Safeguard Media Rights<\/a>.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Yeah, if you say so&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Ah yes, George W. Bush&#8217;s U.S. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/ukraine\/story\/0,15569,1360297,00.html\">government-funded<\/a> &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/justin\/j111003.html\">global democratic revolution<\/a>&#8221; is sweeping the world &#8212; ain&#8217;t it grand?
