Of these countries, 4 have been bombed by Israel, and 4 have been bombed by the US this year alone.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/p>\n<p>Here are the four countries bombed by Israel in 2014<\/p>\n<p><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Sudan <\/strong>(<a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/library\/publications\/the-world-factbook\/geos\/su.html\/t_hplink\">35.4 million people<\/a>, <a HREF=\"http:\/\/muslimsinafrica.wordpress.com\/numbers-and-percentage-of-muslims-in-african-countries\/\/t_hplink\">96.7% Muslim<\/a>) <br \/> On July 21, Israel <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.haaretz.com\/news\/diplomacy-defense\/1.606426\/t_hplink\">dropped bombs on a suspected weapon warehouse in Sudan<\/a>. Israel alleged that the site stored weapons that were bound for Hamas in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p>Israel has carried out other bombing attacks inside Sudan in recent years. In 2009, <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/03\/27\/world\/africa\/27sudan.html\/t_hplink\">Israeli warplanes bombed a convoy of trucks in Sudan<\/a> that was believed to be carrying arms to be smuggled into Gaza. And in 2012 <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.thesundaytimes.co.uk\/sto\/news\/world_news\/Middle_East\/article1156457.ece\/t_hplink\">eight Israeli planes struck a giant military factory<\/a> outside of the capital, Khartoum.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Palestine <\/strong>(<a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/library\/publications\/the-world-factbook\/geos\/gz.html\/t_hplink\">Gaza: 1.8 million people, 98% Muslim<\/a>)<br \/> Israel is currently in the midst of an aerial onslaught and ground invasion in Gaza in what it calls &#8220;Operation Protective Edge.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Previous bombing attacks carried out by Israel in Gaza include the 2012 <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.jpost.com\/Features\/In-Thespotlight\/2012-story-of-the-year-Operation-Pillar-of-Defense\/t_hplink\">&#8220;Pillar of Defense&#8221;<\/a> assault, and the 2008-2009 <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.amnesty.ie\/our-work\/operation-cast-lead\/t_hplink\">&#8220;Operation Cast Lead&#8221;<\/a> in which 1,400 Palestinians were killed, including some 300 children.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Syria <\/strong>(<a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/library\/publications\/the-world-factbook\/geos\/sy.html\/t_hplink\">17.9 million people, 87% Muslim<\/a>)<br \/> On June 23, a series of <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/2014\/06\/23\/israel-bombs-targets-in-syria-in-response-to-boy-death\/\/t_hplink\">Israeli airstrikes killed four and wounded nine<\/a> in Syria in what the Syrian government said was a &#8220;flagrant violation&#8221; of its sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/2012\/11\/12\/official-syrian-fighter-jet-bombs-area-close-turkish-border-several-injured\/\/t_hplink\">Israeli tanks struck a Syrian artillery launcher<\/a> in 2012, and in 2013 <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/05\/05\/world\/middleeast\/israel-syria.html?pagewanted=all&amp;_r=0\/t_hplink\">Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes<\/a> on at least three different occasions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Lebanon <\/strong>(<a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/library\/publications\/the-world-factbook\/geos\/le.html\/t_hplink\">5.9 million people, 54% Muslim<\/a>)<br \/> On February 25, <a HREF=\"http:\/\/world.time.com\/2014\/02\/25\/israel-bombs-hizballah-missile-convoy-on-syria-lebanon-border\/\/t_hplink\">Israeli warplanes hit a convoy<\/a> inside Lebanon that it claims was carrying missiles. <\/p>\n<p><a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2008\/01\/30\/AR2008013000559.html\/t_hplink\">Israel also attacked Lebanon<\/a> in 2006 when it launched a 33-day war, and in 2013 when <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/middleeast\/2013\/08\/201382343319546176.html\/t_hplink\">an air strike targeted an alleged armed group<\/a> south of Beirut.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/p>\n<p>And here are the four countries bombed by the US in 2014<\/p>\n<p><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>1. Yemen <\/b>(<a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/library\/publications\/the-world-factbook\/geos\/ym.html\">26.0 million people, 99% Muslim<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>The most recent occurrence of a US aerial attack in Yemen was on April 19 when a <a HREF=\"http:\/\/news.xinhuanet.com\/english\/world\/2014-04\/19\/c_133275426.htm\">US drone strike killed at least 21 people<\/a>, including a number of civilian bystanders.<\/p>\n<p>The US has been waging a covert drone war in Yemen <a HREF=\"http:\/\/stpeteforpeace.org\/factsheets\/yemen.html\">since 2009<\/a> in what it claims to be a counter-terrorism effort to disrupt al-Qaeda.<\/p>\n<p>Drone attacks have become so prevalent that Yemen had to set up a counseling center <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/news\/2014\/01\/17\/us-drone-strikes-necessitate-counseling-center-traumatized-children\">to help children deal with the psychological trauma<\/a> of US aerial bombardments.<\/p>\n<p><b>2. Pakistan <\/b>(<a HREF=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/wireStory\/13-die-attacks-troops-police-pakistan-24620880\">196.1 million, 96% Muslim<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>The most recent attack in Pakistan occurred on July 19 when a <a HREF=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/International\/wireStory\/13-die-attacks-troops-police-pakistan-24620880\">US drone fired several missiles killing eleven people<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>In total, the US has carried out more than 300 aerial strikes in Pakistan, 90% of which have occurred during the Obama presidency. At least <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.thebureauinvestigates.com\/2014\/07\/01\/six-month-update-us-covert-actions-in-pakistan-yemen-and-somalia-2\/\">168 children are believed to have been killed<\/a> in these strikes, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.<\/p>\n<p><b>3. Afghanistan <\/b>(<a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/library\/publications\/the-world-factbook\/geos\/af.html\">31.8 million people, 80% Muslim<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>The most recent aerial assault in Afghanistan occurred on July 19 during which <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.nation.com.pk\/national\/19-Jul-2014\/4-militants-killed-in-afghanistan-drone-strike\">four people were killed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The US dropped 17,500 bombs during its invasion in Afghanistan in 2001 and has carried out <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.alternet.org\/print\/world\/bomber-chief-20000-airstrikes-presidents-first-term-cause-death-and-destruction-iraq-somalia\">at least 38,100 airstrikes since<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>4. Somalia <\/b>(<a HREF=\"https:\/\/www.cia.gov\/library\/publications\/the-world-factbook\/geos\/so.html\">10.4 million people<\/a>, <a HREF=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Islam_by_country\">99% Muslim<\/a>) <\/p>\n<p>Most recently, <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/world\/u-s-drone-strike-in-somalia-kills-al-shabab-militant-1.2512253\">the US military carried out a missile strike in Somalia<\/a> in January targeting a suspected militant leader with ties to al-Qaeda and al-Shabab.<\/p>\n<p>Renditions, an underground prison and a new CIA base are elements of an <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.thenation.com\/article\/161936\/cias-secret-sites-somalia\">intensifying US war in Somalia<\/a>, according to Jeremy Scahill.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/p>\n<p>Ten Muslim countries bombed by US &amp; Israel in recent years<\/p>\n<p><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Prior to 2014, the Obama administration carried out bombing campaigns in <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/06\/21\/world\/africa\/21powers.html?_r=0\">Libya<\/a> and Iraq, bringing the total number of countries attacked by the US and Israel in recent years to 10.
