His <A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.rferl.org\/featuresarticle\/2006\/01\/65F5737E-3B2A-4A65-A248-3AC259AC2CCA.html\">condition has grown grave; <\/A> at this time he appeals for others to join him in solidarity, as has Yelena Bonner, Andrey Sakharov&#8217;s widow. The situation in Chechnya is complex and ugly; however, these protestors do not seek a violent solution, are entirely seeking a peaceful solution.
