{"id":2645,"date":"2006-02-09T00:45:24","date_gmt":"2006-02-09T07:45:24","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2006-02-09T00:45:24","modified_gmt":"2006-02-09T07:45:24","slug":"prelude-to-world-war-iv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2006\/02\/09\/prelude-to-world-war-iv\/","title":{"rendered":"Prelude to World War IV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I see my good friend Matt has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/comments.php?id=P2637_0_1_0\">response<\/a> to my latest comment on this blog concerning the Muhammed cartoon brouhaha, and I think it makes the main point of my <a href=\"http:\/\/antiwar.com\/justin\/?articleid=8512\">original piece<\/a>: that an atmosphere of hatred is being created in which it will seem not at all unusual or morally deficient for the West to be bombing Middle Eastern cities &#8212; Tehran? Damascus? &#8212; because, after all, they&#8217;re all a bunch of mad-dog fanatics under the sway of an inherently destructive, oppressive, and hateful religion. This is true whether or not anyone intended it. <\/p>\n<p>Considered in the context of the War Party&#8217;s larger agenda, the Danish controversy has to be seen as part of the prelude to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2003\/US\/04\/03\/sprj.irq.woolsey.world.war\/\">World War IV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: Oh, and it looks like the Danes <i>won&#8217;t<\/i> be publishing those Holocaust cartoons <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpost.com\/servlet\/Satellite?cid=1139395370665&#038;pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull\">after all<\/a>.
