{"id":2708,"date":"2006-03-26T21:37:04","date_gmt":"2006-03-27T04:37:04","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2006-03-26T21:37:04","modified_gmt":"2006-03-27T04:37:04","slug":"simple-yet-profound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2006\/03\/26\/simple-yet-profound\/","title":{"rendered":"Simple Yet Profound"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Perhaps you already thought of it, and perhaps I should have thought of it, but one of my readers (who wishes to remain anonymous) recently gave me something simple yet profound about Iraq&#8217;s WMD:<\/p>\n<p>The thought that occurred to me from the first mention of WMD&#8217;s and continued through the entire push to get the war started was &#8212; if Iraq has WMD&#8217;s, why in the world aren&#8217;t the Iraqis using them to repel the U.S. invaders?  Weapons of mass destruction would certainly be a potent defense against an invading army.
