{"id":2853,"date":"2006-07-16T22:25:07","date_gmt":"2006-07-17T05:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2006\/07\/16\/any-hezbollah-killed\/"},"modified":"2006-07-17T11:08:19","modified_gmt":"2006-07-17T18:08:19","slug":"any-hezbollah-killed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2006\/07\/16\/any-hezbollah-killed\/","title":{"rendered":"Any Hezbollah Killed?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are many reports on those killed in Lebanon, as of this post, <a href=\"http:\/\/today.reuters.com\/news\/newsArticle.aspx?type=topNews&#038;storyID=2006-07-17T175917Z_01_L11538533_RTRUKOC_0_US-MIDEAST.xml&#038;pageNumber=0&#038;imageid=&#038;cap=&#038;sz=13&#038;WTModLoc=NewsArt-C1-ArticlePage4\">it stands at 204, &#8220;all but 14 of them civilians.&#8221;<\/a>  The 14 includes 9 Lebanese soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>Almost every day in Gaza, <a href=\"http:\/\/news.google.com\/news?hl=en&#038;ned=us&#038;q=gaza+militants+killed\">Israel says that they have killed one or more militants.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But there are <a href=\"http:\/\/news.google.com\/news?hl=en&#038;ned=us&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;q=hezbollah+militants+killed\">no reports I have been able to find of Hezbollah militants killed in the last few days of bombardment of Lebanon.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I am sure that if the Israelis were aware of any Hezbollah killed we would hear about it.  I also believe that Hezbollah would announce the deaths of any of their officials or fighters.  But we have heard nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli officials have stressed that they are focusing on Hezbollah targets, yet they seem to be killing only civilians (and a few Lebanese soldiers).  Are they that inept?
