(30: 26)<\/p>\n<p>James Bovard is the author of <em>Attention Deficit Democracy<\/em> (St. Martin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\/Palgrave, January 2006), and eight other books.<em> <\/em>He has written for the <em>New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, New Republic, Reader\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Digest<\/em>, and many other publications.<em>  <\/em>His books have been translated into Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, and Korean.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Wall Street Journal<\/em> called Bovard \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the roving inspector general of the modern state,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and <em>Washington Post<\/em> columnist George Will called him a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153one-man truth squad.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d His 1994 book <em>Lost Rights: The Destruction of American Liberty<\/em> received the Free Press Association\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Mencken Award as Book of the Year. His <em>Terrorism and Tyranny<\/em> won the Lysander Spooner Award for the Best Book on Liberty in 2003.
