They deleted the page, <a href=\"http:\/\/bergerdevineyaeger.com\/planning\/usembassy.html\">pulled down the site<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;rlz=1B2GGGL_enUS176&#038;q=http%3A%2F%2Fbergerdevineyaeger.com%2Fplanning%2Fusembassy.html\">scrubbed the Google cache<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>How could it be that someone had publicized plans for America&#8217;s new Vatican-Sized embassy in Baghdad&#8217;s Green Zone?! Oh, no!<\/p>\n<p><em>Heroic, peace-loving editor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomdispatch.com\/\">Tom Engelhardt<\/a> Strikes Again!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In his article, &#8220;The Colossus of Baghdad,&#8221; published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/engelhardt\/?articleid=11041\">here<\/a> at Antiwar.com on May 30, Engelhardt exposed the plans for America&#8217;s new Imperial Center on the Tigris:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[The Missouri-based contractors] can now be classified    as architects to the wildest imperial dreamers and schemers of our time. And    the company seems proud of it. You can go to <a href=\"http:\/\/bergerdevineyaeger.com\/planning\/usembassy.html\">its    Web site<\/a> and take a little tour in sketch form, a blast-resistant spin,    through its Bush-inspired wonder, its particular colossus of the modern world.<\/p>\n<p>As an outpost, this vast compound reeks of one thing: imperial<img decoding=\"async\" vspace=\"7\" hspace=\"15\" align=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/photos\/embassy2.jpg\" \/> impunity. It    was never meant to be an embassy from a democracy that had liberated an oppressed    land. From the first thought, the first sketch, it was to be the sort of imperial    control center suitable for the planet&#8217;s sole &#8220;hyperpower,&#8221; dropped into the    middle of the oil heartlands of the globe.
