{"id":41011,"date":"2022-10-27T09:47:45","date_gmt":"2022-10-27T17:47:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/?p=41011"},"modified":"2022-10-27T09:47:45","modified_gmt":"2022-10-27T17:47:45","slug":"fetterman-and-oz-on-foreign-policy-both-are-terrible","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2022\/10\/27\/fetterman-and-oz-on-foreign-policy-both-are-terrible\/","title":{"rendered":"Fetterman and Oz on Foreign Policy, Both Are Terrible"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am not going to comment on what most people are talking about regarding the Pennsylvania Senate debate.<\/p>\n<p>Both candidates are horrible in their brief answer to the question:<br \/>\n&#8220;What do you believe is the biggest foreign threat to the United States of America?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fetterman said &#8220;China is not our friend.&#8221;  He then attacked Oz for making his products in China, and then continued &#8220;Which one of us is going to stand firm against China.  I believe our biggest single issue is to address China and make sure that it is not our friend.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Oz addressed the &#8220;threat of Iran&#8221; with total inaccuracy:  &#8220;Take for example Iran, in order to get them to give us a little oil, so that we can deal with the catastrophe that Russia has caused, we have gone to them and tried to sign a deal that would allow them, once again, to have the nuclear power to blow up Israel, which they promised they would do.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RMXEYA91mX0\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A video of the entire debate seems impossible to find on YouTube, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpxi.com\/video\/watch-full-pennsylvania-senate-debate-between-oz-fetterman\/ad1ed658-ea72-431f-ba96-af0dff8f41f8\/\">but here it is if you are interested<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am not going to comment on what most people are talking about regarding the Pennsylvania Senate debate.
