In the aftermath of the 1999 Nato intervention in Yugoslavia, ethnic cleansing continued, only this time the majority of the atrocities being meted out were by the majority Albanians against the province&#8217;s <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bndlg.de\/~wplarre\/na990813.htm\" target=\"new\"><em>minority Serbs<\/em><\/a><em>, Roma, and Turks. It was a phenomenon witnessed later in the aftermath of the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Yes, but one has to wonder: how come it took so long to learn &#8212; or publicly aknowledge &#8212; this lesson? At least the neocons &#8212; or some of them,\u00c2\u00a0such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/archive\/2006\/03\/27\/060327crbo_books\">Francis\u00c2\u00a0Fukuyama<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/justin\/?articleid=8689\">Andrew Sullivan<\/a> &#8212; had the class to utter a few <a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/justin\/?articleid=7063\"><em>mea\u00c2\u00a0culpas<\/em><\/a> within a reasonable time-frame.
