Kennedy to that of George H. W. Bush. Ray\u2019s duties included serving as the Chief of the Soviet Foreign Policy Branch, chairing National Intelligence Estimates and preparing the President\u2019s Daily Brief, which he delivered one-on-one to President Ronald Reagan\u2019s five most senior national security advisers from 1981 to 1985.\u00a0 He is co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) and a lifelong Catholic who now works with \u201cTell the Word,\u201d a publishing arm of the ecumenical Church of the Saviour in inner-city Washington.
