Among the 11 victims were three <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/women\">women<\/a> and seven <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/children\">children<\/a> ages 5-13.<\/p>\n<div class=\"rm-col-center col sm-mb-1\">\n<div class=\"widget__body clearfix sm-mt-1\">\n<div class=\"body js-expandable clearfix js-listicle-body css-listicle-body-2674211674\" data-headline=\"Israel Massacres 11 Members of Palestinian Family in Deadliest Gaza Ceasefire Violation\">\n<div class=\"body-description\" data-rm-calc-width=\"700\">\n<p>The IDF <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/liveblog_entry\/several-said-killed-by-idf-fire-in-gaza-military-says-suspicious-vehicle-crossed-ceasefire-line-neared-troops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> the \u201csuspicious vehicle\u201d crossed the so-called \u201cyellow line,\u201d beyond which Israeli forces withdrew in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, and that warning shots were fired at the bus before troops acted to \u201cremove the threat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.palestinechronicle.com\/israeli-army-massacres-abu-shaaban-family-in-gazas-zaytoun-neighborhood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> the <em><a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/palestine\">Palestine<\/a> Chronicle<\/em>, Basal asserted that \u201cthe family could have been warned or dealt with in a way that did not lead to murder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened confirms that the occupation remains thirsty for blood and determined to commit crimes against innocent civilians,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In Pictures | Palestinians bid farewell to Abu Shaaban family, killed when Israeli occupation forces disregarded the ceasefire agreement and struck their vehicle in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, Gaza City.<\/p>\n<p>The massacre claimed the lives of 11 family members, including 7 children and\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/N65bm9b9lI\">pic.twitter.com\/N65bm9b9lI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Quds News Network (@QudsNen) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/QudsNen\/status\/1979534288719683782?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 18, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/united-states\">United States<\/a>, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said in a statement:<\/p>\n<p><em>The Israeli government&#8217;s massacre of a family traveling to assess the remains of their home is the latest deliberate and blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. The <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/trump-administration\">Trump administration<\/a> must demand that [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu stop using American taxpayer dollars and American weapons to sabotage the ceasefire agreement that America brokered so that he can restart the <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/genocide\">genocide<\/a> in Gaza.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The State Department and the <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/united-nations\">United Nations<\/a> must also investigate horrific signs of <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/torture\">torture<\/a> and extrajudicial killing <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/news\/palestinian-prisoners-tortured\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found<\/a> on the bodies of returned Palestinian hostages. Torturing people to death after kidnapping them and holding them without charge is another example of [breaking] not only <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/international-law\">international law<\/a>, but also US law related to foreign aid recipients.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Gaza\u2019s Government <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/media\">Media<\/a> Office <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/dropsitenews.com\/post\/3m3i7gzz3j22s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> Saturday that Israeli forces have broken the truce 47 times, killing 38 people and wounding 143 others \u201cin clear and blatant violation of the ceasefire decision and the principles of international humanitarian law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Israeli forces have killed at least 68,116 <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/tag\/palestinians\">Palestinians<\/a> in Gaza since October 2023, according to the Gaza Health Ministr \u2013 whose figures are <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/news\/lancet-gaza-death-toll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">likely a vast undercount<\/a>. Leaked IDF data <a class=\"rm-stats-tracked\" href=\"https:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/news\/civilian-deaths-in-gaza-2673907835\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">suggest<\/a> more than 80% of those killed were civilians.
