{"id":569,"date":"2004-03-15T04:43:27","date_gmt":"2004-03-15T11:43:27","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2004-03-15T04:43:27","modified_gmt":"2004-03-15T11:43:27","slug":"spanish-election-tallies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2004\/03\/15\/spanish-election-tallies\/","title":{"rendered":"Spanish Election Tallies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/southerlybuster.blogspot.com\/2004_03_14_southerlybuster_archive.html#107929510558442666\" target=\"_blank\">Alan at SoutherlyBuster<\/a> has added up the gains and losses by each party:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>PSOE +39<\/li>\n<li>PP -35<\/li>\n<li>CiU (Catalan centre-right) 10 -5<\/li>\n<li>ERC (Catalan leftists) 8 +7<\/li>\n<li>EAJ-PNV (Basque moderates) 7 deputies, -0<\/li>\n<li>IU (left-socialist) 5 deputies -4<\/li>\n<li>CC (Canarian centrists, would have entered a coalition with the PP) 3 -1<\/li>\n<li>BNG (Galician socialists) 2 deputies -1<\/li>\n<li>CHA (Aragonese regionalists) 1 deputy, -0<\/li>\n<li>EA (Basque separatists) 1 deputy -0<\/li>\n<li>Na-Bai, 1 deputy -0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote><p>All parties, except ERC, EAJ-PNV and the single-member groups, have lost deputies to the PSOE. This is a very broad victory.<\/p>\n<p>That is confirmed when you look at the regions. The PSOE won a majority of deputies in 3 regions, half the deputies in another 7, and minorities in 8.
