Steve Walt and I originally published \u201cThe Israel Lobby\u201d in The London Review of Books<\/em> in March 2006. It was published on the internet on 17 March 2006 and then came out in a paper version on 23 March 2006.<\/p>\n

As Michael Massing said in \u201cThe Storm over The Israel Lobby,\u201d his 8 June 2006 essay of the article in The New York Review of Books: \u201c<\/em>Not since Foreign Affairs<\/em> magazine published Samuel Huntington\u2019s \u2018The Clash of Civilizations?\u2019 in 1993 has an academic essay detonated with such force as \u2018The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy,\u2019 by professors John J. Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen M. Walt of Harvard University\u2019s Kennedy School of Government.\u201d<\/p>\n

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its publication, Max Blumenthal interviewed me on the Grayzone on 12 March 2026. Max\u2019s sidekick, Aaron Mate joined the conversation toward the end of the show. We talked about the original article and what has changed regarding the lobby over the past two decades. I thought the conversation with these two truth-tellers was excellent.<\/p>\n
