Nobel said the prize should go to:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding work of an idealistic tendency; and one part to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity among nations, <strong><em>for the abolition or reduction of standing armies<\/em><\/strong> and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.
