Addressing an audience at the West Bank settlement of Ofra without realizing that the cameras are running, Netanyahu claims that he has \u00e2\u20ac\u0153de facto put an end to the Oslo accords\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and boasts of his ability to manipulate U.S. policymakers. Among the tape\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s highlights (from Liebovitz\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s writeup):<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get in their way.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>On getting the U.S. to concede to Israel the right to define which areas of the West Bank were \u00e2\u20ac\u0153closed military zones: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153From that moment on, I de facto put an end to the Oslo accords.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153They asked me before the election if I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d honor [the Oslo accords]. How did we do it? Nobody said what defined military zones were. Defined military zones are security zones; as far as I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m concerned, the entire Jordan Valley is a defined military zone.
