{"id":845,"date":"2004-04-30T01:39:54","date_gmt":"2004-04-30T08:39:54","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2004-04-30T01:39:54","modified_gmt":"2004-04-30T08:39:54","slug":"us-whines-about-al-jazeera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.antiwar.com\/blog\/2004\/04\/30\/us-whines-about-al-jazeera\/","title":{"rendered":"US Whines about Al Jazeera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/newsArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&#038;storyID=4993740\" target=\"_blank\">Bush Administration whines to Qatar about Al Jazeera<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am not responsible (for) al-Jazeera,&#8221; Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jassim said of the Qatar-based station funded by the Gulf ally&#8217;s ruler.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But we will take this concern back to al Jazeera and they have to review (it), because we need al Jazeera to be professional and we don&#8217;t want anybody to send lies or to send (the) wrong information,&#8221; he said after talks at the White House with Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.<\/p>\n<p>Hamad said he also discussed plans to sharply increase liquefied natural gas sales to the United States.
