The pro-Mubarak forces are apparently pounding the anti-Mubarak demonstators in the Square with gunfire this night. <\/p>\n<p>The Al-Jazeera host asked why she and other demonstrators refused to accept Mubarak\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s promise to hold elections.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salma Al-tasi<\/strong> replied: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153<strong>We do not trust a government that sends thugs to kill us<\/strong>.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>She has more sense than the vast majority of modern political philosophers. And she has more gumption than the vast majority of American political commentators. <\/p>\n<p>(I am guessing at the spelling of her name.
