The Washington Post<\/a><\/em>: Jennifer Rubin blogs that, in Israel, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153dissent is celebrated, not suppressed.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d She bolsters this assertion by citing yesterday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Herzliya Conference panel on Iran\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nuclear program, characterizing the panel as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153arguments between those who see [Iran’s] nuclear program as an existential threat to Israel (as does the government) and those who indulge in the fantasy that this isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t anything to worry about.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

The National Review<\/a><\/em>: Hudson Institute<\/a> visiting fellow and former Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith<\/a> defends George W. Bush\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153freedom agenda,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d writing that Obama is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153repudiating his freedom agenda\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153threw the baby out with the bathwater.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d He continues, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Rather, in its national-security approaches to Iran, Russia, China, Venezuela, and the Arab states, it downplayed human rights and democracy concerns or discarded them altogether.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Feith charges, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153when Iranian demonstrators bravely defied imprisonment, torture, and death to protest their government\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s electoral fraud in June 2009, Obama\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s frigid detachment shocked even many of his own political supporters.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
