Does any of this sound familiar? It&#8217;s precisely what the advocates of the bank bailout did. They came to Congress and the American public\u00a0 (and <a href=\"http:\/\/coto2.wordpress.com\/2010\/10\/02\/banksters-blackmail-irish-in-too-big-to-fail-fraud\/\">overseas<\/a> too) and said: if you don&#8217;t give\u00a0the banks and certain other favored\u00a0mega-corporations\u00a0$700 billion,<a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/business\/news\/paulson-reveals-us-concerns-of-breakdown-in-law-and-order-1750076.html\"> financial Armageddon <\/a>will ensue. After some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creditwithdrawal.com\/wordpress\/2008\/09\/30\/congress-rejects-the-bank-bailout-and-the-market-goes-into-meltdown\/\">reluctance<\/a>, Congress caved &#8212; and, to this day, the <a href=\"http:\/\/personalmoneystore.com\/moneyblog\/2011\/03\/07\/tarp-bailout-program-ends\/\">TARP<\/a>sters claim that, if not for the bailouit, we&#8217;d all be broke. <a href=\"http:\/\/wallstreetpit.com\/67394-u-s-dollar-crisis-only-way-to-protect-yourself\">Oh, wait <\/a>&#8212; well, anyway, you get the point.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nicholas Kristoff declares that &#8220;a humanitarian catastrophe has been averted for now,&#8221; and Dennis Ross claims 100,000 lives were saved by US intervention in Libya.
