I am completely opposed to sending even one U.S. "peacemaker" to the Balkans. Nancy Pelosi voted against a resolution by Republican congressman Mark Neumann, of Wisconsin, and passed by the House, that would have forbidden U.S. intervention without a vote of Congress.

We fought three world wars, two hot and one cold, and won them all -- but at a terrible price. We have exhausted our national treasury and let our own cities fall apart, rotted from within. It is time for America to come home. It is time to start putting America first. They say American soldiers must fight and die for NATO -- and yet NATO is a relic of the Cold War, no more relevant to the post-Communist world than the collected works of Joseph Stalin.

We are fast coming to the point where virtually all of the federal budget is being eaten up just by the interest on the national debt. The program of runaway spending on social programs that do not work and never have worked benefits one and only one group in society: the banks. The more money poured down the federal rathole, the bigger the interest payments. Our children and our children's children will be taxed at outrageous levels just to fill the coffers of the richest segment of society.

Nancy Pelosi supported NAFTA, which surrenders U.S. sovereignty and sets up a system of managed trade -- not free trade -- that is not in this country's interest. Pelosi got a lot of heat for this from the labor unions, and I intend to appeal to working class Democrats who see their standard of living plummeting -- while Nancy votes herself a pay raise.

Racial preferences in the workplace and schools are irrational, destructive, and must be abolished. While officially-approved victim groups get special privileges, others are necessarily sidelined. A society where merit is trumped by skin color, where intelligence is less important than ethnicity, is doomed to self-destruct.
