This absurdity (and here’s why it’s absurd) brings to mind an old nugget from P.J. O’Rourke:
- Everybody wants to save the earth; nobody wants to help Mom do the dishes.
It’s a pity O’Rourke hasn’t applied that insight to the global democracy crusade…
