  1. The Pentagon will not wither and crumble according to Cato’s Christopher Preble, Benjamin Friedman and Dan Mitchell.

And in other earth-shattering news, the sun has set in the west for the past fourteen consecutive days.

Much empty blather about nothing. Aside from the fact that this is a Cato Institute product, the speakers insult the viewer's intelligence by pretending that Congressional spending patterns on "defense" have, or ever have had, anything whatsoever to do with actual national defense rather than the maintenance of a global empire.

Cato must have really had its guts ripped out in the recent Koch Brothers-vs-Crane fiasco for something as laughable and shallow as this tripe to have been made public.

      1. Cato's the dimwit? The British Colonial Office was able to control a vast empire by employing the tactic of creating friction between factions within regions of the Empire. These factions would never coalesce into a united front that would challenge British hegemony as long as the manipulative Colonial Office could foster infighting. Such infighting has long exisited between the Rothbard / Rockwell / Raimondo and Cato / LP wings of the libertarian movement.
The libertarian movement will remain a fractious sideline observer as long as dimwits like yourself promote a meaningless divide.

        1. Why, pray tell, is it considered "fractious" or "divisive" to comment truthfully on the utter emptiness of a video segment issued by a faux libertarian think tank, a video that spews laughable gibberish that wouldn't be considered serious political commentary even by a sixth grader?

Or did you just lose your job at Cato and are still a little bitter at the recent turn of events?

  2. I'm not going to lie, I'm really impressed. Its rare for me to find something on the internet that's as entertaining and intriguing as what you've got here.
