What’s the Deal With Antiwar Radio?
Well, see, I’m packing up the truck and moving to LA with an eye toward a new radio project. I should be back posting interviews within the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, there are 5 from last week which have just been posted, Chris Emery (posted as a post-script to Roger Charles), Thomas Woods, Glenn Greenwald, Philip Giraldi, Patrick Cockburn, and there are hundreds of past interviews by me and Charles Goyette here. (All of my interviews since 2003 are available at ScottHortonShow.com.)
Ms. Bianca Oblivion will also be playing reruns on KAOS Radio at the regular time (11-1 PM Texas time) at least for a little while…
Merry Christmas.

Welcome to L.A. It’s not as friendly a place as Austin, but it is a bigger media market. Thank you for putting some sanity on the radio. I think you do a wonderful job!

It’s not the cheery holiday season of peace and joy for me as I grit my teeth and white knuckle my way through the Obama rollercoaster of appointments and transition period…….
There just don’t seem to be ANY presents under my tree…….. And the crew that brought us these wars and financial collapse are all smiles and high fives………
As my mind races out of control which I am trying to quiet with punch….. I am reminded that small presents are often better….and the one I see….. Eric Holder is a blank slate to me..
I would do his bio by google, but I haven’t summoned sufficient strength at this time…. I’m telling myself that SOMEONE must have spit out their kool aid into the planter
Someone must see where this current direction LEADS….. Afghanistan, it’s the death of HUBRIS
The ruin of rulers and the graveyard of empires, It IS the land of the FREE……Too free..yes
Does anyone remember urban renewal?? The government(s) grew weary of decaying inner city neighborhoods with crime, welfare and general social malaise…
The social planers had an answer…. They seized the land (eminent domain) and razed the neighborhood…..and…SURPRISE.. all the ills spread in a wider circle of crime and sloth.
IT spread to OTHER CITIES too……….
Not discouraged by their maladroit solution and the widening scourge……. They pressed on leveling ever wider circles of the cities past and soul…trying to eradicate those same ills
Their wastelands they saw as progress, but their victims found new ways and places to continue as they had, doing what kept them in body and soul and many became new welfare clients
The welfare made necessary by the dislocation helped subsidize the slacker hustler lifestyle.
Had it been a contagious disease the folly of mass dislocation that spread it would be obvious
But they relied on their victims viewing their dislocation as progress….. They relied on everyone believing THEIR OWN propaganda….
They spent billions to propagate what they despise…….Think Afghanistan as Detroit…..

Thanks for the update and good luck with moving.
BTW, now that we got a hold of you let me use this chance to lobby for you to interview Nebojsa Malic some time soon. He writes for you so what is the hold up? Does he have an accent too heavy for radio or something? :-) He has things to say and I would love to hear an interview with him.

Scott, my young apprentice(in Evil Emperor voice), if you thought Tejas and the APD were a bundle of joy, the People’s Republic of Kalifornia and the LAPD will give you all sorts of warm and fuzzy feelings. Good luck in your new endeavor and you’ll always be welcome here in Austin. So hello to Nancy, Arnold and Diane for me!

Scott —
looking forward to your next posting, as always.
Personally, I’ve always assumed you grew up in LA based on your accent. You sound just like Jan & Dean, and the surfer dude kid I work with from Huntington Beach.
Your recent interview of Roger Charles was very enlightening for me (as well as the Trentadue), especially because you acknowledge the many smoking guns of “inside job” caliber. (My personal view is, “inside job” is the rule, not the exception, and “false flag” terrorism is the life blood and the mother’s milk of Empire and always has been.)
Another lump of coal for Thomas above: Eric Holder is not only the go-to guy for the Mark Rich pardon, but apparently a key player in the coverup of the OKC “inside job”. I can’t remember now, but did that come up in your discussion with Roger Charles?
Yours and his memories of J.D. Cash were very enlightening. I agree with LukeRy that you are at the top of your class.
Come back on air soon.

Hey Scott,
I’m a young journalist living and working in Montreal, Canada. I’ve been listening to the interviews for a couple of years now (in the podcast format; biking to school, on the bus, during an evening walk…) and I wanted to thank you for your amazing work. Interview after interview, you have taught me about the twisted state of this world we live in, but also provided me with a powerful model for interviewing. I like how you are simultaneously über well-informed and humble, irreverent and sincere. From my Canadian perspective, you have single-handedly succeeded in making me want to give Texans a second chance. If that State is capable of producing fine, inquisitive and funny journalists such as yourself, it can’t be half as bad as I was previously led to think.
Please don’t let us hanging too long. Your voice needs to be heard.
All the best in your new endeavours,
Carolyne

Hi Scott…are you out of your mind?..forget LA…with a little imagination, you should base your program in Berlin, Germany…great looking gals, culture, music, art.and many people who actually speak foreign languages…

Scott,
Please come back on the radio soon, your voice gives us hope for the acute voice of reason to (eventually) prevail. Whatever you are undertaking in L. A., I hope it brings your program to more people who need to understand the forces that plot to overthrow our freedom. The breath of reality you help to disseminate hurts but in these confusing times we need to be schooled on who, exactly, the enemy is. Your show always makes me feel terrified and enlightened. Please be safe in that Angel city.
