  1. If it means that those who want tax cuts for the rich, privatization to pour public funds to the wealthy few, and helps impoverish the poor by reducing social expenditures, then you can see that it is something to prevent the flow of ideas that are dissenant to those on the far right ( THE MANIACS WRITTEN ABOUT BY JONATHAN CHAIT IN “THE BIG CON” , OR even Jim Marrs’ “The Conspiracy Theory”, and Naomi Klein’s “Shock Therapy”.

  2. And Commander in Chief of 180.000 mercenaries in Iraq is attacking Mr. Musharif for following the example of his civilized masters.

    I just don’t get it!

  3. On January 1st/08 do not go to work do not do any business flood the streets shut down the country for one day in protest. We’ll see what happens then. AWWW who am I kidding the moajority of us wont bother to do it so it wont be problematic for the government. what was that first part.. something States of America? Oh yeah UNITED

  4. “We are attempting to use this site to inform students, parents, staff and the community about District 201. In addition to the many regular items that are listed, many notices and items of interest are included. For example the Freshman Center has continued to post their quarter honor roll lists. East has published pictures of students engaged in classes and activities around the school. Several notices concerning theater and band performances have also been placed here. The counseling departments have posted scholarship information for college bound students that frequently changes. We are attempting to post notices about the daily sports events.

“If you have any suggestions about additions to the site, please feel free to send a note to us at district201@jsmorton.org

Here’s an idea for an addition, Mr Superintendent. How about your plan of trying to get students thrown into jail for peacefully protesting?

  5. It is a good lesson for them to learn. The best thing that could happen to these students is a complete loss of faith in their government. Once that is accomplished you can learn how organize and function outside of “polite” society.

Home school…Home school…Home school. If their parents care about them they should get their kids out of there and not look back.

  6. Most Supers are now “highly overpaid politically connected shills” who are not the least bit interested in the teachers or students.

At $150-200K per year, are they really worth it especially in this atmosphere where many school budgets are even passing the general vote.

I think this paid position should be eliminated personally.

  7. Of course criminal charges for peaceful protest. There’s nothing new or unique about that, in fact it’s about as old as a hat can be. There are many many laws and ordinances taht are specifically drawn as broadly or vaguely as possible to provide police and other “law enforcement” authorities to criminalize political expression that they dislike. If none of those is ready to hand, then, as with the case of the DuPage County IL antiwar protesters, the police can always just make up allegations against peaceful protesters, and the milling horde of Good Germans misnamed the American citizens will play their role of Greek chorus, lauding the police protecting them from such vile criminals and denouncing the evil protesters.

  8. Protesting against our glorious Middle Eastern crusade is treason and emboldens al-Qaeda, Hamas, Ahmadj… well, that Iranian guy and all those other Evil(tm) guys. Why do these brats hate Freedom(tm)? I say we’ve been too SOFT on these guys; let’s waterboard ’em (which by the way, is NOT torture, regardless of what pinko commie liberal types might insist) so that they may see the light.

  9. What wonderful, wonderful young people. Of course, all citizens of America and of the world should sign this petition and send a personal message to the stooges/authoritarian a****les who are attempting to hurt these beautiful, brilliant, idealistic, truly revolutionary evolving humans, attempting to be better educated. Peace and love, you who are willing to stand up or sit in for freedom and peace.

  10. Believe it or not I was actually in the protest at Morton. I go to the school. The where contridicting us. they told us if we stepped a foot out of the line they blocked off we were going to be arrested and they they told us all to leave. Why would we leave if we were just told if we left we would be arrested?
