Preble, Hornberger: US Out of Afghanistan

Watch Christopher Preble (Cato) and Jacob Hornberger (Future of Freedom of Foundation) stand up for morality and truth in the face of Max “(Your) Blood and Guts” Boot and some other loser. Heroic. And overdue.

  1. The U.S. should get out of Afghanistan. The U.S. is not going to defeat the insurgency. That country is tailor made for an insurgency. Nor is America any safer by having troops there.

    1. That was a great article. I think the best point was,

“If President Bush had announced to the world that the United States would not kill innocent people in the quest to bring bin Laden and other members of al-Qaeda to justice, the entire world would have remained sympathetic to the United States. Bin Laden and al-Qaeda would have been isolated, not knowing who would turn them in to the authorities”.

That’s of course assuming that Al-Qeada had anything to do with 9/11.

      Peace!

  2. Absolutely incredible job by Mr. Hornberger, and Mr. Preble, while he was subdued at first, also came on strong at the end. I cannot sing enough praise for the truth these men spoke to Neocon mendacity. Bravo.

    Bravo.

  3. It’s just hopeless to try to get Amerikans to understand reality…they are so brainwashed.

Everyone in that room except Hornberger and to a lesser extent Preble are brainwashed warmonger imperialists and they love it!

I wish someone woulda told Miss Sadam Cut Yer Ear Off that Hussein was a monster the United States of Amerika created. He was our boy in Bahgdad for decades…he never would have come to or stayed in power without Amerika.

And WTF? If the Amerikan war on Afghanistan is about 9/11 why didn’t Amerika invade Germany? That’s where 9/11 was planned. And the Taliban didn’t participate in 9/11 and the link between the Taliban and Al Qaeda is tenous at best.

  4. My hearty compliments to Messrs. Hornberger and Preble. Piss on Max (“I’ll fight to the last drop of your blood”) Boot. Like all neocons, Boot is a pussy, a wuss, a douche bag.

  5. Many thanks to the Smith Foundation for hosting this debate it was actually very informative and thanks Anti-war for posting it. Jacob Hornberger was excellent. The two neo-con were as perdictable as always. However, what bothered me was Preble. Is this really the stance of Cato? Isn’t their tag line individual freedom, free markets and peace? What a joke, lets throw less people into the meat grinder and all is well. He could definately learn a lesson from Hornberger. Yes he did a better job at the end, but come on, lets keep half the troops there and keep up the good work, thats not peace! I know the Cato institute has gone downhill but that’s just plain ignorant.

For a great tribute to memorial day check out this clip. It says it all.
