Syria Crisis Update: US Attack Imminent? And What You Can Do.

The alleged chemical weapon attack in Syria on Tuesday is propelling the United States toward a large-scale military attack on the Assad government. The mainstream media, neoconservatives, and “humanitarian” interventionists are creating a perfect storm pressuring President Trump to take military action.

A major US attack on Syria may be imminent!

What we know:

1) President Trump said today that “something should happen” to Syrian President Assad for the alleged attack. Yesterday be blamed the Syrian government for the attack and said that he had done a 180 degree turn on Assad, just days after his Administration stated that regime change was no longer a US priority for Assad.

2) The media is reporting that President Trump has tasked his Defense Secretary, James Mattis, to come up with a plan for a military strike on Syria.

3) Our sources inside the Senate have reported that the Senate Foreign Affairs committee will soon be voting on a motion condemning Assad for the chemical attack. According to our source, rank and file Members and staff are not being given any sense of what the intelligence community thinks or knows. Leadership is expecting Members and staff to fly blind through the process, with only NGOs and the McCain/Graham/Corker axis providing the information.

What we have heard:

1) The US had a drone in the area of the attack so the US has detailed photographic and sensor information on what actually occurred but it is not being shared either with Senators or the public.

2) The President may have already ordered a massive US missile strike on Syria, possibly similar to the “shock and awe” that opened the Iraq war just over 15 years ago. He may intend to issue an Executive Order for the attack.

What we do not know:

1) How the Russians may react should the United States launch a large-scale attack on a Syrian government in which it is so deeply invested.

2) How the region (Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia) may be affected in the immediate aftermath of a large-scale US attack on Syria that displaces the current Syrian government.

3) Who will fill the void if a US attack de-facto changes the Syrian regime.

What we suspect will happen:

1) The House/Senate will pass a resolution condemning Assad for the attack which will contain vague language that could nevertheless reasonably be construed as an authorization to use military force.

2) The resolution may also contain language that gives an ultimatum to Assad, similar to those given Milosevic and Saddam Hussein immediately before an American attack.

3) Either an attack or a stand-down could occur as soon as the next few hours.

What you can do:

It is imperative to contact your Representative and Senators as well as the White House to urge that Congress and the president take no military action against Syria with virtually no information available on the attack.

Again: A large-scale US missile attack on Syria may be imminent.

  1. Attacking Syria is a serious gamble. Will Putin back down? Doubtful. Not with S-400’s deployed.
Turkey has already voiced support for an invasion.
Haley has said they will bypass the UN and attack unilaterally.
Tillerson looks like he’s clueless half the time and wishing he was home the other half.
It’s painfully clear that Trump is not actually in control. He’s lost control of the beast and it’s running loose doing whatever it wants.

This could lead to a perfect storm in which WWIII begins.

    1. US military is betting on superior US air strength and also that Russia is going to step aside, even if they lose some of theirs!

How’s that for a good bet?

Oh, let’s just wait until we hear how Raimondo is going to spin this in Trump’s favour. What’s a nuclear war that can’t be talked back by Raimondo if a few thousand words?

        1. Nope. Raimondo has spun this as Trump being forced into doing it.

But I would say that the heart of the Trump apologizing co–sucker has been hacked out of his useless carcass this time.

  2. So, it’s others presurring Trump to go to war? Geezuz fu–ing kriste, do you people ever learn?

      1. Who cares? The Pentagon is ready for another war, and our munitions boys will make lots of money on all sorts of chemical weapons and DU. (OOPS! … shhhhhh… not supposed to mention that. WE’re always the good guys… remember?)

        1. When this stock bubble bursts on Trump, he’s going to be crying. This war is going to cost money America doesn’t have.

We have witnessed the death of America First.

The path to success, just to explain, was to cut foreign spending, increase domestic spending, cut overall taxes. And he needed to do other things, but if just focusing on the spending. Now, he’s got a costly new war.

      2. Because Trump feels compelled to show the world that he’s a big man and the deep state has finally figured out that this insecurity is the easiest way to get him to commit their preferred genre of war crimes. All they had to do is launch a false flag attack that would give Donald the opportunity to prove he’s tougher than Obama.

        1. You watch. He won’t get so many at his rallies in the near future.

I hope he tries to appease his base to make amends rather than appeasing the Swamp.

You should try to get Tulsi as the popular candidate for 2020 presidency. Trump won’t win in 2020. Tulsi is about the only Democrat I believe hates war. Bernie says he’s antiwar, but Bernie looks to me to shift in the wind a bit.

          1. I pray your right. I hope most of Trump’s supporters have the moral fortitude that you do. I doubt it but we’ll see.

And I’ve been saying it for a long time and I’m just gonna keep f**king saying it: VOTE TULSI GABBARD 2020!

  3. Argh, he just attacked. I guess Machiavelli would offer praise: It’s worse to hesitate than to err.

    This is so stupid.

  4. Congratulations, Mr. Chump! You have now learned how to politick! Why, in no time, NOBODY will remember Russia-gate or be calling for your impeachment! You might even be able to get Mr. Flynn back on the NSC so he can bomb some more rag-heads into oblivion!
And yes! It really doesn’t matter what Putin thinks about it all.

  5. What you can do is start to predict how Trump will escalate this war. This is predictable because of Russia’s presense in Syria and the next step will depend a lot on Russia’s response.
In any case, the next step has to be another staging of a gas attack by Assad. That will clinch Trump’s justification for war with the majority of Americans. And the stage has been completely set for that to take place next because the reaction to it is already planned.

The only thing that doesn’t seem to be planned all that well by Trump and his goons is Russia’s response.

Maybe the smartest move by Russia will be to move revenge to a different war front. Ukraine?

And China isn’t going to remain silent on this US aggression either.

  6. It depends if the Russians WERE warned. They say they were,US says they weren’t.If they weren’t and said they were,US knows it has carte blanche etc.If they weren’t,Putin knows he’s next but wants more time/wants US to be seen as the aggressor so US civilians may save him (russia). The neocons/deep state are in control and an invasion of Syria will very likely happen soon imo.
