Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher C. Miller to officially announce U.S. drawdown in Afghanistan and Iraq. U.S. troops to be cut in roughly half to 2,500 in Afghanistan by January 15, 2021, and American forces will be cut by 500 troops to 2,500 in Iraq by the same date.
