“Competitors and potential adversaries” NATO maintains nuclear option against: Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.

NATO maintains the credibility and effectiveness of its nuclear infrastructure and forces.

As long as nuclear weapons exist NATO will remain a nuclear alliance.

  2. The Warsaw Pact has been dissolved years ago. Not only is NATO still around, its membership has expanded to include most former Warsaw Pact members. The Cold War died out when George HW Bush was POTUS but he increased military spending. NATO should go the way of the Warsaw Pact and Berlin Wall.
