As Ukraine sinks into collapse from Russia’s invasion the US provoked, the death and destruction has made no dent on Uncle Sam’s inhumane conscience.
A year ago when NATO member Turkey neared a 15 point negotiated settlement, the US and UK each sent a top official to Kyiv not to request, but demand that Ukraine President Zelensky walk away to keep fighting. That grotesque demand led to over 100,000 unnecessary Ukraine deaths over the next year. A third of the Ukraine economy vanished. Six million left Ukraine and another six million relocated.
The US didn’t blow up a negotiated peace to inflict this carnage on Ukraine. They simply wanted, in the words of US war emissary, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, to keep the war going to “weaken Russia.” That was an abomination that should shame every peace loving American.
Today begins US sabotage 2.0 of a new Russo-Ukraine peace proposal. Chinese President Xi Jinping’s arrives in Moscow to meet with Russian President Putin and virtually with Ukraine President Zelensky to possibly negotiate peace. War weary Zelensky expressed openness to XI’s 12 point peace proposal.
President Biden should be thrilled that peace in the war may be at hand. Instead he’s apoplectic. His national security spokesman John Kirby offered, “We don’t support calls for a ceasefire right now. We certainly don’t support calls for a ceasefire that would be called for by the PRC in a meeting in Moscow that would simply benefit Russia.”
Once again it’s not about ending a war destroying Ukraine as a functioning state. And God forbid peace be brokered by our other arch enemy China in America’s 21stcentury Cold War that could quickly go nuclear. Outside of the US and Australia, the rest of the world in cheering on China’s peace efforts. Even European NATO countries are likely though silently on board. They’re not thrilled about the US blowing up the Nord Steam pipeline and tripling their energy costs to degrade Russia.
By preventing a March, 2022 peace agreement, the US blew a chance for an agreement that would have reverted to the pre-invasion territorial lines. An easily prevented year of war means any new peace agreement will likely see the annexation of the Donbas provinces and the Ukrainian oblasts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
Once again the US has overplayed its hand, ensuring, it we don’t stumble into nuclear war, the utter ruin of Ukraine and the demise of US unipolar dominance.

Ukraine is running out of conscripts and are increasing the penalties for draft dodging because it seems the Ukrainian people aren’t really as supportive of this war as the West pretends.
The West acknowledges that the usage rate of munitions is unsustainable, which is a nice way of saying Ukraine is not meeting objectives.
Give the Chinese a couple of weeks to put something together after the meeting with Putin and they’ll be in Ukraine negotiating with a huge aid package (bribe) in the offering.
Unless we can meet the payoff…bribe…..aid package (take your pick) they’ll grab the Chinese one.
All of Kirby’s blustering of the past few days won’t matter.
There is no money left to bribe, NATO members are bankrupt, they fund the war and millions of refugees while the Biden neo-Nazis deindustrialize Germany and with it of course the EU.

We are returning to pre-ww2 Fascism with the Progressives returning to their love of Fascism.
After all one of its beliefs is the melding of business and trade unions into a marriage with government. Add to that government censorship and you have the Democrat party of today.
Their opposites are the populists who are more isolationist and do not believe the state is more important than the individule. It’s refreshing to see the Greenwalds and the Tuckers of American politics agree in a lot of regards now and the topic of foreign entanglements/wars is a big one of those.
One thing, the unions have been destroyed by government,including the Democrats, and big business together, big money won again.
One only has to look at what the Biden administration did to the rail workers.

Our local ASME is Democratic party headquarters which would be bring it into “the orbit of the State”.
I say it is because for several years I cleaned the carpets in the state headquarters of ASME. It was filled with Democrat political signs and it was obvious political campaigns were run out of it.
After a few years the President of the Union was ousted for embezzlement (went to serve time at the same prison he had been a guard at; Karma?) and I started coming in when the new President was tired of looking at dirty carpet.
One day it was a emergency call. There had been a break-in by “kids” who decided they needed to destroy records before the forensic accountant from the AFL-CIO got there that day to determine how much was stolen (with Richard efing Trumka and his mafia goon bodyguards; everybody was scared that day) and they needed it cleaned up because the police were not being called.
I helped them cover up a crime with Richard Trumka directing the show ;-)
The ASME president must have pleased him because she remained in office for years trying to get Democrats in office from her union’s mailroom.
My mom even started selling insurance/annuities to the union members because of her and she the president, was getting box seats access to the local baseball stadium when ever she wanted for her members and even tickets to a local PGA golf tournament back when Woods was at his top.
By then I was in max and almost had a Lieutenant who ran a cell house accepting final round in the sponsor’s tent tickets that were going to be held by his Union’s president for him.
It was arranged (my fingers were not going to be on them…supposedly ;-) but he and his friends got smart and backed out 2 days prior to getting them.
Can you imagine the hold I’d have had over him, his union?

Yes, Union bosses too have a price, money makes the world go round, business and government are corrupt too, we need it, the same is true of Unions, they are needed. Imperfect but better than nothing.

There are no real labor laws to speak of, working people can’t hire highly paid lobbyists the way big business does to sit at the table writing the laws.

America hates peace. I have arrived at that conclusion firsthand after witnessing the travesty that is Afghanistan and Iraq.
In college, I was naive and even wanted to apply to the state department to promote world peace. Good thing I did my research before applying. These days I feel like my eyes are more open than ever, seeing the disgusting hypocrisy between our words and our actions. I wish for a modern day President Carter, someone who actually values peace.
With just 16 years of not warring somewhere, you bet your bippy we hate peace. Not here, but on other continents.

Vladimir Putin did not start this war. The U.S. started it back in 2014 with the Maidan coup. Zelensky is the one who could stop this war today, but he takes his orders from his masters in NATO and will continue to sacrifice Ukrainian lives for the NATO agenda. Jeremy Scahill needs to get educated on that.
