Breathing New Life Into Mass Death

Who knew mass death was such a growth industry? And by “death” I mean not only of humans but of any organism in a war zone.

We humans are a self-absorbed lot. We blast the earth and obliterate life without a thought to the ravages we commit against nature. Indeed, we pass and sign bills for $95 billion for more weapons and war and we dare call it “peace”!

Underhanded Israeli Tactic Delays Flotilla Departure

For immediate release, Thursday April 25, 11:30pm.

The Freedom Flotilla is ready to sail. All the required paperwork has been submitted to the port authority, and the cargo has been loaded and prepared for the trip to Gaza.

However, today we received word of an administrative roadblock initiated by Israel in an attempt to prevent our departure. Israel is pressuring the Republic of Guinea Bissau to withdraw its flag from our lead ship—Akdeniz (“Mediterranean”).

California Senate Puts Selective Service Bill ‘In Suspense’

After hearings on its policy and fiscal implications, the California Senate has deferred action on a bill to automatically register draft-age applicants for driver’s licenses and state IDs with the Selective Service System (SSS) for a possible future military draft, by placing the bill on the Senate Appropriations Committee “suspense file”. This means that unless the Senate Appropriations Committee decides by May 17, 2024, to call up the bill and forward it to the state Senate floor, the bill will be dead.

The Acting Director of the Selective Service System (who had been on the West Coast to swear in a new Washington State Director of Selective Service) and the Deputy Associate SSS Director for Legislative Affairs spent several days in Sacramento lobbying state Senators in support of SB-1081. The Acting SSS Director was the lead witness in support of SB-1081 at the Senate Transportation Committee hearing on April 9th.

The Gaza Flotilla To Set Sail While Blinken Attempts To Take Focus From Israeli/US Genocide of Gaza

While I am in Istanbul, Turkiye with hundreds of international participants from 40 countries who are attempting to sail in the Gaza Freedom Flotilla to break the illegal Israeli naval blockade of Gaza and bring food and medicine to starving Palestinians in Gaza, the survivors of the Israeli/US genocide of Gaza, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is attempting to divert world attention from U.S. complicity in the genocide of Gaza to China’s human rights issues.

Hundreds of thousands of university students in the United States are defying the Biden administration’s blatant attempt to divert eyes away from Gaza by their remarkable stand for Palestine in their camps on college campuses across the country.

Netanyahu to Biden: Shut Down the Student Protests!

On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video yesterday attacking the student protests in the US against Israel’s actions in Gaza and demanding that US authorities crack down on those exercising free speech. House Speaker Mike Johnson echoed Netanyahu’s condemnation of the protesters and called for the National Guard to be sent in. Has he ever heard of “Kent State”? Also… Texas governor Gregg Abbott sent troops to crack heads at a University of Texas protest. Free speech on the ropes?
