The Only Thing You Need To Know About ‘The Vietnam War’

The Vietnam War” began airing on PBS this week.

But, besides the fact it was not legally a “war,” THIS – directly from the lips of Vietnam “War” U.S. Defense Secretary Robert S. McNamara – is the only thing you need to know about it…

Mr. McNamara, didn’t you ever read a history book?” – The Fog of War

  1. “The Fog of War” = the smokescreen of propaganda. After destruction of wealth, that is the main product of govt., fraud, perpetuation of the myth that violence is practical/moral. Lies are all statists have. In a reasoned debate, they will always lose.

      1. Before wealth protection comes wealth production. Govt. produces no wealth but it does accumulate it by theft. Every govt./business partnership is at the expense of the public. Yes?

          1. Theft does not become non-theft by law. In Nazi Germany murder of Jews was “legal”. That didn’t make it “bs” to call it murder.

    1. lmao. Lose? Lose what? They never lose. They always win. They don’t care what you think. They couldn’t care less about your opinion. You are Ron Suskind getting taking to school by Karl Rove. “The aide said that guys like me were ‘in what we call the reality-based community,’ which he defined as people who ‘believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.’ […] ‘That’s not the way the world really works anymore,’ he continued. ‘We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do’.”

      1. Nazi Germany built an empire that seemed invincible, at first. So did Japan’s “Empire of the Sun”, at first. And the two formed an alliance of the two most destructive militaries in the world. They “created a new reality” of worldwide fear that inspired the U.S. Empire to grow. All of those empires, and more, acted, but not to create reality, only to destroy life and property. Their legacy continues to destroy, just as past empires did. Empires did not create the Renaissance or the Industrial Age or the unimaginable wealth that made all the machinery of destruction possible. Before empire comes wealth production. Empires take it and self-destruct.
Karl Rove is a delusional psycho.

      2. Great quote Dennis B! The questions are:

-Do you want their version of reality?

-Can they indeed successfully create their version of reality?

  2. YES indeed Vish ^^^^!!

And the Vietnam so-called “war” isn’t the only example, unfortunately. In fact, not just wars – – –

And McNamara told a lot more of the truth than the USA Corp machine is comfortable with. As he admitted of the Lemay command that dropped the two nukes in three days, “…he, and I’d say I were acting as war criminals” http://www.antiwar.com/orig/reichard.php?articleid=6684#VClip_6

And, like it or not, here’s what we’re up against – – – and it’s probably NOT who or what you think it is.
